It’s March Madness in the Snowy Mountain Pub, beginning Tuesday, March 13th and carrying on through Monday, April 2nd. Wear your team’s jersey to win a free microbrew, one of the many beer specials offered exclusively for the games, in addition to regular weekday specials.
For those staying mid-March here at the Saratoga Resort and Spa, you can also learn more about the beautiful forestry surrounding the resort at the Forest Day Film Festival, held at the Platte Valley Community Center. The center is hosting, in cooperation with the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Office, the festival on March 15 & 16, 2012 in celebration of World Forest Day (March 20, 2012). The Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Office has over 160 documentaries and short films that raise awarness of the importance of forests and to inspire a sense of personal responsibility for a sustainable future. There is a wide range of topics, some of which hit close to home tackling the issue of the pine beetle, to others that speak to the deforestation of rain forests around the world.
The two day evening film festival event is open to the public, free of charge, with the latest documentary showing starts at 7PM, allowing plenty of time to return for a late drink at the Snowy Mountain Pub & Brewery to end the evening.
