The golf course will close for the season on Sunday, October 16th to allow Dan Tewes, our outstanding superintendent, to get the course ready for winter. He will also begin some early preparation for potential flooding next spring to get a jump on any potential problems.
We did get our new blue tee boxes on holes 3 and 7 completed in time for the Saratoga Open tournament played over the weekend of Sept 17th and 18th. 6 pros from Wyoming and Colorado played along with 7 amateurs from Saratoga. The professional flight was won by Klinton Krieger of Cheyenne, with our own Robby Shipp coming in third even though he is still an amateur. Chuck Cooper won the Championship Flight and Steve Facciani won the first flight. All the golfers enjoyed the challenging new tee boxes and a great BBQ dinner Saturday night.
Our Annual Raffle Ticket Sale will be held Friday, October 16th at 6PM in the Golf Shop. Pick a raffle ticket out of the hat. The last two numbers on the ticket represent the discount you get on all items in the shop. Save from 30% up to 100%. Beer and bar snacks will be served.
Thanks for another great golf season. If you haven’t been out lately the course is in terrific shape and the greens are fantastic. Better hurry though time is running out.
