Saratoga Hot Springs Resort’s Snowy Mountain Brewery will be competing for the Steinley Cup at the 22nd annual Wyoming Microbrew Competition! Come on out and show your support on August 19 at Saratoga’s Veterans Island Park.
The official State of Wyoming Microbrew Competition will be held Aug. 19 in Saratoga, Wyoming. Microbreweries from Wyoming are slated to compete for the coveted Steinley Cup at the 22nd annual competition. This year’s competition brew is ‘American Amber Lager’ and will be judged by a panel of brewing professionals from Colorado. The event starts at 1 p.m. and goes until 5 p.m. at Saratoga’s Veterans Island Park.
“This microbrew festival is unique in that only those based in Wyoming are invited. It was one of the first, original competitions and brew festivals in the state and is known by the brewers as the official competition. No-one can claim they’re the best in the state unless they have carried the Steinley Cup trophy home,” says Stacy Crimmins, CEO of the Saratoga/Platte Valley Chamber of Commerce. Those breweries that have confirmed their attendance are Saratoga’s Snowy Mountain Brewery, Snake River Brewing Company out of Jackson, The Library, Black Tooth Brewery, Altitude Chophouse from Laramie and newcomer Accomplice Brewery based in Cheyenne.
Sponsors of the event include Carbon County Visitors Council, The Saratoga Hot Springs Resort, Hotel Wolf, Aspen Sky Merchants Mall, Bigfoot 99, VIP Marketing, Lollypops, Platte Valley Well & Construction, North Fork Engineering, Union Wireless and Bridge Street Bargains.
