Join us on June 22 in celebrating World Bathing Day, created by the Bathe the World Foundation and supported by the Global Wellness Institute’s Hot Springs Initiative. World Bathing Day honors and emphasizes the role of water across cultures.
What is World Bathing Day?
World Bathing Day is more than just recognizing the immediate benefits of bathing being enjoyable, peaceful, and social. It is also sanitary and essential to preventing and controlling human disease.
The event honors the act of bathing and cleansing as a celebration of water and its longstanding rituals and cultural significance. The celebration is important because it draws attention to those who do not have access to clean bathing water. With this day of celebration comes the responsibility to raise awareness and affirm our resolve to ensure a time where bathing is possible for all.
If you want to participate in the celebration, a great start is looking at the event’s Instagram page @worldbathingday. On the day of the event, at sunrise; the page will share posts from hot springs across the world. If you want your photo in this post you can submit your own favorite hot springs photos using the hashtag #worldbathingday.
In celebrating this event, we fill social media with scenes of serenity and soaking from around the world. The result will be a cascade of images from sunrise to sunset, spanning different locations, traditions, and cultures. Celebrate and relax at Saratoga’s Mineral Hot Springs.
