“Relax the body & mind to experience your natural happiness within”
Instructor Maddie Janssen, RYT, will be teaching introductory yoga classes beginning Monday, July 16th through Saturday, July 28th in the courtyard of the Saratoga Resort. Each class is gentle, geared towards beginners, and a wonderful place to start exploring the world of yoga and all it has to offer.
What Is Yoga?
Unlike traditional exercise, yoga is a whole being workout that brings balance to your body, mind and heart. You will develop strength and flexibility to create an overall feeling of health, vitality and joy. Some of the many health benefits to developing an ongoing yoga practice are brightened awareness, reduced stress, a quiet mind, relaxed body and nervous system and much more. However imbalanced you may feel in life, yoga can bring you back to your center.
Maddie is a native of Denver, CO who just finished her first year at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. She has been practicing yoga for 4 years and completed her yoga teacher training at the Shoshoni ashram in Rollinsville, CO. Maddie believes that yoga is a way to connect with herself in all aspects of her life, not just in class but in relationships, diet, soccer, school and her general approach to life. Through yoga she has noticed a transformation that has just begun and she is very excited to see her full potential blossom
